If at first you don't succeed...
Last week I read a fantastic story.
An 84 year old inventor from Brooklyn, New York has refused to give up even in the face of rejection. Instead, he returned to the drawing board and started again and again. Now, 80 rejections later, he has finally achieved his dream and has sold a board game to a reputable toy maker which has been snapped up throughout America and which has just won the Game of the Year Award.
Those of you following these articles know they are aimed to help you create your own business website and to design the best internet site for your organisation. The attitude displayed by the Brooklyn inventor mirrors the advice in several past articles such as Never Give Up In Business, The Key to Business Success or Success in Business is about Doing It to name just a few. However there is a more instant similarity between the design of your website and his approach to success.
Keep on changing
The possibility to update your own website whenever you want and from wherever you are and however much you want is incredible.
You can keep on changing little things here and modifying things there.
It never ceases to amaze me what one small tweak can do to the overall appeal of an Internet site.
There have been many examples in the past where I have been very happy with a website design, only to go back after a couple of weeks and change one small detail to vastly increase the complete look and feel of the whole internet site.
The determination and belief of the man from Brooklyn that he would finally make something that he could sell is a lesson to us all. His refusal to give up and his constant experimenting and improving his ideas finally paid off and he is now enjoying a well-earned success. Do the same with your business website and it will help your organisation succeed as well.
